American artistic gymnast Simon Biles is back in Texas after competing at the Tokyo Olympics. One of the things she did after arriving was going to her boyfriend’s practice to reunite with him.
Biles’ boyfriend is Jonathan Owens, an American football safety for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. Biles was at the practice facility Thursday to watch and later be reunited with Owens.
Biles shared their reunion on social media. She posted many photos and videos with Owens. During the reunion, Biles wore her hair in long braids and wore a white top and tan bottoms.
She was also sporting a necklace with the initial “J.” Owens, on the other hand, wore his No. 36 practice jersey in the snaps. In one of her posts, she wrote the caption, “Morning w/ bae. Open practices aka bring your girlfriend to work day.”
During her visit at the practice of Houston Texans, Biles also spent time with the team’s pup. The team shared a photo of Biles and the dog on their Twitter page. The team said in the caption, “Thank you @Simone_Biles and @TexansPup for coming to #TexansCamp!”
Biles received a warm welcome in Houston on her arrival back home from the Olympics where she won silver and bronze. She had to drop out of the four out of five individual event finals she was supposed to be part of because she wanted to prioritize her mental health.
During the time that Biles struggled, Owens shared in a statement, “I was sick for her, just because I can see her face, I kind of know her facial expressions, I can kind of read her lips and kind of know what was going on and kind of what she was telling her coach.”
Owens added that he already knew what was going on beforehand, but he hoped she was going to get over it and perform what she practiced for in months.
The two have been dating since March 2020.
