Black Panther Season 2 will be released this year, and we now have the first trailer for the highly anticipated sequel. The dramatic clip aired on July 23 during Marvel’s epic presentation at Comic-Con. The anticipated MCU sequel began production in January 2022, was delayed for another week owing to Covid, and was completed in March 2022. The hiatus from November to January was intended to give ‘Letitia Wright’ time to recover from an on-set injury. Following a couple of delays to its original May 2022 release date, the sequel is now planned to enter theatres in November 2022, and everything appears to be on track.
About Black Panther:
Chadwick Boseman’s death has left quite a void in the world, not least because of the actual loss but also because of his sudden departure from the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe. But, Black Panther 2, officially named Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently in production. The film is planned to pay tribute to the late performer while expanding on the fantastic universe he helped create. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, directed by Ryan Coogler, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, will return fans to Wakanda and explore the nation’s new place in the world.
Release Date of Black Panther:
In October 2021, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theatres on November 11, 2022. That’s a four-month delay from July 2022, and the sequel replaces The Marvels, which has been pushed out to 2023. While nothing, we hope this is the final chance for the film. Filming began in June 2021, but as stated before, there was a break from November 2021 to January 2022. However, work resumed in January 2022, and filming finished in March 2022, so it should be ready for release in November.
Who is Going to Return for Black Panther 2?
It has been revealed that the sequel would honor Chadwick Boseman’s legacy by not recasting the part of T’Challa. There are no plans to deploy a “Digital Double” in the sequel. “There is only one Chadwick, and he is not with us,” Marvel Studios EVP Victoria Alonso explained. “Unfortunately, our monarch has died, not just fiction. And we’re taking time to see how we return to history and what happened to us that was so unexpected, traumatic and dreadful.” Kevin Feige also stated: “Wakanda is a place where characters and diverse subcultures may be explored further.
Confirmed Characters of Black Panther Season 2:
Without its titular hero, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will focus on the many supporting characters from the first film. According to specific sources, the film will also introduce some long-awaited classic characters. But we’ll get to that later. First, there are the returning characters: Lupita Nyong’o will return as Nakia, T’Challa’s ex-lover and member of Wakanda’s War Dog spy network. Okoye will be played by Danai Gurira. Okoye is the leader T’Challa’s all-female honor guard, practically Wakanda’s special forces organization. And one of the most popular characters introduced in Black Panther. Gurira is reportedly scheduled to reprise the role in an unannounced Disney+ spin-off series.
