Goosebumps is a two-part American horror comedy based on R.L. Stein’s horror book series of the same name, published on October 16, 2015, and on October 12, 2018. Both episodes were favorably received by the reviewers and all the fans.
Rob Letterman helmed the film’s directing, while Darren Lemke is credited with the adaptation. Actors like Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Amy Ryan, Jillian Bele, Champ (Ryan Lee), and Odeya Rush (Amy Ryan) portray characters from R.L. Stine, while Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz are in charge of the show.
In 1992, Stine’s book series launched and quickly became a favorite of ’90s youngsters and burgeoning horror lovers. Aside from the popular Goosebumps series, the industrious author produced several spin-offs, such as Give Yourself Goosebumps and Tales to Give You Goosebumps, throughout the 1992-1997 period.
It wasn’t until 1995 that the novels were made into a television series that lasted four seasons. Before Goosebumps in 1989, Stine started writing the more adult Fear Street books. A 2020 horror film adaptation of Fear Street is also in the works, which is set to be released in June.
When can fans expect a release date for Goosebumps 3?
It’s doubtful that Goosebumps 3 will get the go-ahead after the disappointing box office results of its 2018 prequel. As of this writing, there is no word of a third film in the series.
A Goosebumps sequel may have been delayed because of the planned Fear Street movie trilogy; studios and Stine may be awaiting the results of this venture before committing to a family-friendly approach, even though Fear Street’s novels were targeted primarily at teens.
Because Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures have not released any information on a third Goosebumps film, probably, we won’t see another one until 2023, when Fear Street arrives in theaters. These films have traditionally required a longer time to make, from the moment of purchase to the point of packaging.
Columbia purchased the rights to the first picture in 2008, but the first film didn’t come out until 2015. There was a three-year hiatus between when the script for the sequel was approved in September 2015 and when it was released in October 2018. While production has not started as of now, 2021 may celebrate the third anniversary of the show’s prequel.
While it has been about a year since the prequel was released, The projected release date of 2021 is three years away, but since the production for the next movie has not begun, it may take much longer. If Goosebumps 3 ever makes it out of development purgatory, we’ll go through some of the potential storylines in the following part.
What could be the expected plot for Goosebumps 3?
A minimum of 14 volumes are expected to be released in the Goosebumps SlappyWorld book series, which was started in February 2017.
Because Stine has so much material, a movie adaptation of his newest series could probably be in the works. Previous movies have adapted different aspects of Stine’s series.
As long as the novels succeed, they won’t have to depend only on nostalgia from the previous two. This is in keeping with the new Goosebumps novels since both the first and second movies in the series contain Slappy the Dummy, which has become a trademark of the Goosebumps franchise. Goosebumps 3 may be the best option if it does happen.
Zach, Stine, and Hannah will have to figure out how to reclaim the monsters from the stories when Zach accidentally frees them from their cages.
