A Fort Worth man in his 60s and a Fort Worth lady in her 80s died due to COVID-19. According to authorities, both had underlying medical problems.
There have been 262,995 COVID-19 cases recorded in the county, with 3,561 fatalities and an estimated 257,472 recoveries.
Hospitalizations In COVID-19
The number of COVID patients admitted to a hospital increased by 10 to 118. On January 6, the pandemic high was 1,528.
COVID-19 hospitalizations have maintained at 2% of the total number of beds in Tarrant County, accounting for 3% of the 3,960 occupied beds. Since March 23, the COVID hospitalization rate of total beds has been 4 percent or lower, and 3 percent or below since May 25. On January 10, the rate reached a pandemic high of 38%.
Confirmed COVID patients fell slightly to 1.96 percent of all available hospital beds in the North Central Texas Trauma Region, from 2.07 percent.

According to county data, Tarrant County’s hospital bed occupancy stayed at 83 percent. There are 818 hospital beds available. On January 4, the pandemic low was 661.

Adult ICU bed occupancy rose from 86 percent to 89 percent. On December 28, the pandemic had reached a peak of 99 percent.
The number of people using ventilators grew by 22 to 191. Patients are utilizing 24 percent of the county’s 790 ventilators.
Rate Of Positivity
Tarrant County’s COVID-19 testing positive rate climbed to 4% from 3% in the most recent seven-day average data. On January 7, the rate was at a pandemic high of 30%.
Vaccination Information
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, 53.3 percent of Tarrant County individuals aged 16 and up have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, and 46.5 percent are completely vaccinated.
