A Texas man’s ex wife, Heidi Nichole Carpenter is needed within the brutal slaying of his Shih Tzu dog.
A report via KENS5 told of Joe Bailey retuning from the gym on March 26 only to seek out blood everywhere his home and his pet dog, BG, missing.
‘I was scared to death,’ Bailey told the media outlet.
Bailey said he initially believed a criminal had ransacked his home and brought his 9-year-old dog, along side his Samsung tablet.
But subsequent day — with help from a friend’s drone — Bailey discovered his dog stabbed to death and lying under tree branches during a neighbor’s yard.
He also found a pair of women’s sandals nearby.
Heidi Nichole Carpenter on probation for previous trespassing charge:
Deputies with the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office would later tell Bailey that on an equivalent day the dog was killed, that they had briefly questioned his ex-wife, Heidi Nichole Carpenter, after finding her crossing a highway barefoot.
Carpenter, who is on probation for an unrelated 2017 trespassing charge, wasn’t held at that time , but now the sheriff’s office wants her back.
It wasn’t disclosed when the previous couple split and what led to the pair divorcing.
Dr. Conrad K. Nightingale, an area veterinarian in Bandera said, ‘In all my years of veterinary service I even have not experienced such brutality and animal abuse of this fashion’ in an autopsy report dated March 28th.
On Monday, authorities issued a warrant for Heidi Carpenter’s arrest in connection to the stabbing. She faces potential charges of cruelty to livestock and burglary, officials said. the previous wife has yet to be found. It remains unclear why she targeted Bailey’s pet dog.
