The target for Texas

The long alliance will work on reaching milestones. One of the first would be becoming autonomous trucks with a logistics platform that comes from a commercial company that is duly integrated. It would lead to having J.B. 360. The companies will conduct several pilots to check freight movement along the interstate 45 for W.B. Hunt’s clients with the help of Waymo’s software, Waymo Driver, as per the press release they provided to Dallas Morning News.

The autonomous vehicle talk has been doing the rounds for several years now and the reality is coming closer to being utilized by the Trucking companies to further their businesses. It is run by software that has been refined over the years to help replace human drivers so that greater efficiency can be achieved. The Norman Transcript reports that this mechanism will ensure better safety and reliability on the roadways.

The possibility in the future

Unicorn tech is a start-up wherein the testing for autonomous vehicles takes place. It has done so for the car other vehicles and is presently focussing on the trucking business. Business Wire reports that trucking is now part of the technology piloting, which would run in Texas highway routes with a human behind the wheels but as safe drivers.

Waymo happens to be owned by Alphabet (Google being the parent company) had come with a 9-acre logistics hub for working on trucking technology in Lancaster. The company announced employing several people and may open early in 2022.

Texas has been a hub for such testing activities, mostly due to the permissible weather conditions. The trucking business is no different and gives these vehicle firms them to utilize the facilities and change the trucking business amply.
