Monday night in Los Angeles saw the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards presentation, which celebrates the finest in television. “Black-ish” actor Anthony Anderson emceed the event for the first time. With three record-breaking wins for the coveted best drama series, “Succession” led the field with 27 entries for its fourth and final season. Actors Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, and Matthew Macfayden were honored with Emmys for their roles in the program.
While FX’s “The Bear” won the Best Comedy Series prize, Netflix’s “Beef” also won many prizes, including outstanding limited or anthology series.

Following the red carpet event, Fox aired a live broadcast of the Emmys, which celebrated TV episodes and specials between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023. Due to two strikes that started in May and July, the 75th annual celebration was initially scheduled for September but was postponed. The strikes affected both authors and performers.
