Who can get CAIP Payment?
These payment benefits are distributed to those who meet the following eligibility criteria.
- You must be a Canadian citizen with legal permanent residency.
- Have attained the age of 19 or older
- If you are under the age of 29, you must have a spouse or a joint law partner or live with your parents.
- The youngster must be under the age of 19 and must reside in Canada with his or her parents.
- If the parents share child custody, the taxable CAIP payment is split evenly between both spouses.
