If you do not receive your payment on the expected date, the Social Security Administration (SSA) advises allowing three additional mailing days before contacting them. You can reach the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.  Individuals with hearing impairments can contact the SSA’s TTY line at 1-800-325-0778.

In addition, Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders has reintroduced a bill called The Social Security Expansion Act, which would provide an additional $200 to current Social Security recipients or anyone who turns 62 in 2023. Over 50 organizations have endorsed the bill, which aims to ease the financial burden on the country’s most vulnerable citizens, GoBanking Rates reported.

In conclusion, Social Security beneficiaries can expect their March 2023 Social Security benefit payments to arrive on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of the month, depending on their birth date. However, delays can occur in certain circumstances, and seniors who struggle to cover their basic living expenses may qualify for additional assistance through the SSI program.
