Niecy Nash Speaks Out

In an emotional TikTok video, Niecy Nash sent her prayers to the families of those killed in Monday’s shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, which claimed the lives of three children and three adults.   Niecy Nash shared her thoughts on the tragedy, emphasizing that the safety of children should be the top priority.

According to CNN, She expressed her sympathy for the families of the victims, and the pain they will endure, knowing they will never see their loved ones again. Niecy Nash’s brother, Michael Ensley, was killed in a school shooting over 30 years ago at Reseda High School in Reseda, Calif.

Since then, Niecy Nash has been a vocal advocate for gun control and children’s safety. Her mother, Margaret Ensley, founded Mothers Against Violence in Schools (MAVIS), for which Nash is a spokesperson.

Niecy Nash Pleads For Change

Actress Niecy Nash is calling for a change in the wake of yet another school shooting.  Nash pleaded with Americans to prioritize children’s safety over divisive political issues like Tennessee’s recent legislation restricting drag shows and critical race theory, a published article in People reported.

“School is the one place where children should be safe,” Nash said. “Now, they’ll be safe getting on an airplane. But school? That’s another thing. And it shouldn’t be.” Nash’s emotional response to the tragedy has gone viral on social media, sparking conversations about gun control and the need for change to prevent more school shootings.
