As the United States resumes to recuperate from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government is proposing more financial support to citizens through the American Rescue Plan Act in a form of Rescue Plan Relief Payments.
The latest update indicates that eligible Americans could receive a $400 monthly relief payment, according to a published article.
Paterson, New Jersey is using $1.4 million in American Rescue Plan funds to extend a rescue plan relief payments program that originally provided 110 low-income beneficiaries with $400 monthly payments via mailed debit cards. According to a published article in U.S. Sun, that would make the citizens of Paterson, New Jersey get an extension of the initial guaranteed income program. While the city has not yet confirmed the amount that will be given to families this time, the program will undoubtedly be expanded.

Eligibility Requirements
Last year, program qualifications required that you must be 18 years or older. The program was also limited to individuals with earnings less than $30,000 and families with incomes less than $88,000.
As for the 2023 program, the eligibility criteria have not yet been announced, but it is expected to be broadened to include more low-income households.
The program’s purpose is to assist families who are still stumbling to make ends meet due to the pandemic’s economic effect.
