According to Fox 5 San Diego, California will be extending its inflation relief payments, and will issue 460,000 more checks through February!

California is providing more time to send out the remaining Middle-Class Tax Refunds. It was announced last summer that it will start going out in October, but will continue to be sent out through February.

The Franchise Tax Board (FTB) the state agency in charge of disbursing the funds says that most of the recipients will still have their payment issued by then, but people whose addresses have changed from the time they filed their 2020 taxes, may receive their debit cards on Jan. 30 and Feb. 14. FTB releases a payment schedule showing the final phase wrapping up on Saturday, Jan. 14.

The FTB is issuing another round of Middle-Class Tax Refund (MCTR) payments for people whose information needed an additional review. Furthermore, people who were expecting to receive a direct deposit must check their bank accounts this week.

The FTB suggests contacting customer service at 1-800-542-9332 if you believe you should have received your payment already but haven’t. A customer service agent will assist you in confirming you qualify, and explain what payment you’ll receive and when.
