Texas Teacher Pleaded Guilty to Charges of Sexual Assault, Took Advantage of Student in Classroom Closet

Canyon Texas: Reports say that Emily Marie Anderson, 35, a special education teacher hailing from Texas had pled guilty to sexual assault of a child. Also, having a relationship with a student was prohibited.

She was arrested on August 2021 and then got charged with a second-degree felony as well in December 2021, reported Meaww. It was the second charge for an improper association with a student.

Police started the inquiry on the situation just after the victim’s mom found explicit sexual text messages on her son’s handset sent out by Anderson, indicates KSAT-TV.

The mother of the victim added that her son was suffering from anxiety and was very depressed and said was thinking about what punishment can be given to the accused for causing her son pain.

Recalled what she felt when the messages were on the cellphone; with the desire to go after the special education teacher and deal with it. She told it in court.

Canyon High School Principal Dustin Davisson just sent out a letter to parental figures discussing the problem following Anderson’s initial charges through August 2021.

He added that is disturbing to learn that one of the teachers a charge with such a crime like it. Stressed the safety of all the kids and their security is the main goal of the school that is taken seriously.

Guilty

Anderson did not contest the charges in court and she will be in a sex offender register; adding a total of 60 days in jail in the next 10 years said a source.

For this instance, it will be probation and asked to pay a $2,000 fine as well with 50 hours of community service to complete. The sex offender will get a life order that stops her from ever contacting the victim.

In the hearing, the mom told Anderson that she betrayed the trust given and said the consequences were terrible on her own. The teacher has not said anything yet.
