$500 To Be Received if Chicago Residents Could Complete A Program Application by New Year’s Eve.
Chicago residents who wants more money can receive $500 if they could complete a program application by New Year’s Eve. The program, called the Chicago Recovery Fund 2.0, will provide 25,500 eligible Chicago residents with a one-time payment of $500. This money is intended to assist people who have difficulty qualifying for federal relief in 2020, such as the COVID-19 relief funds.
The program is currently accepting applications from households who have paid taxes in 2019 with declared dependents 17 years of age or older, according to the Heartland Alliance organization. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of the city of Chicago. In addition, the applicant must have an income level at or below 300% of the federal poverty level.
Chicago Residents to Receive $500 If They Can Complete Application by New Year’s Eve
According to a published post by The Gazette, the federal poverty level will be different for applicants depending on the number of people in their household. For single-person individuals, the FPL will be $40,770 and for two-person applicants, it will be $54,930, with the amount increasing for each person in a household.
For applicants with more than eight people in their household, the amount will be $139,890 plus $4,720 for each person in addition to eight individuals. Applications have been accepted for this program since October 31 and will continue to be accepted until December 31. Recipients will then be selected for this program through a lottery.
