$234 Million Additional Food Aid Gov. Hochul Announced

December 21, All New Yorkers registered in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will get and take the maximum amount of food benefits and assistance for December, Gov. Kathy Hochul stated on Tuesday.

According to a media statement from Hochul’s office, all households and families participating in SNAP, as well as those previously receiving the maximum level of benefits and welfare, will get an additional allocation this month. Governor Hochul Announces Additional Food Aid

According to a published post by Yahoo Finance, the additional benefits and assistance should be available to SNAP households and families in all counties other than New York City by Thursday, December 22.
