The Storm Prediction Center has recently warned that Texas might witness a heavy Tornado outbreak this week.
Tornado to Hit Texas
A severe Tornado is expected to hit certain parts of Texas in the coming days. This warning was released by the Storm Prediction Center.
Of late, these states have been experiencing bad weather. In fact, Texas received heavy rainfall and storm on the day of Thanksgiving.
It is worth noting that nighttime tornados, especially in winter months, move at a rapid pace. This might lead to severe destruction of property in the vicinity.
The concerned authorities have been informed about the potential environmental threat to take shelter-based decisions for the affected masses efficiently.
Storms moving at a speed of 50 or 60 mph are difficult to handle and require adequate safety measures from the end of the citizens along with the authorities.
The state is likely to record the highest number of tornadoes occurring in the month of November as compared to other states.
Which areas of Texas are likely to be affected?
Some parts of East Texas are highly prone to the potential tornado. As of now, Houston has been marked safe and will likely not witness extreme weather conditions.
Also, the surrounding states, such as Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama, may be hit by severe storms and tornadoes.
More than 25 million of the state’s population have been placed under high alert. Therefore, the citizens have been requested to stay indoors until the weather subsides.
