Unidentified remains, a bag, and other personal belongings of the 19-year-old were discovered at a Milton Keynes residence on Wednesday, according to the police. The post-mortem examination is scheduled for this Friday but could “take some time,” according to Thames Valley Police. The force also stated that Leah Croucher’s family was being kept informed.
Leah Croucher, a teen, was regarded as bashful, witty, and hilarious by her relatives. At their Milton Keynes family home on the evening of February 14, 2019, they last saw her. She can be seen walking to her workplace in Milton Keynes in a surveillance video taken the next morning. She never showed up. She had told her parents earlier that evening that she was heading out to visit a friend, but police later found out that this was not the truth. Ms. Croucher’s whereabouts and whether or not she encountered anyone that evening remain unknown.
Where Did The Police Find The Human Remains
On Monday evening, after receiving a tip through the phone, police started investigating a house on Loxbeare Drive in Furzton. They found some of Miss Croucher’s belongings as well as some human remains there. Police were initially made aware of the residence on Monday, according to a spokesman, although they had already “checked as part of our residence investigations as part of the investigation.”
Since Miss Croucher vanished on her way to the office at a banking company three years ago, more than 4,000 residences have been searched & 1,200 hours of Surveillance tapes have been examined.
Det Ch Supt Ian Hunter requested that everyone continue to be considerate of Miss Croucher’s parents and appreciated them for their “patience and support” while the inquiry was ongoing. A “renewed and explicit plea” was also made by him to anybody who may have been near Loxbeare Drive around or during the day Miss Croucher vanished. He noted that despite passing time, “we continue to hold out hope that someone might know important information.”Mr. Hunter specifically urged people to come forward if they may have Surveillance video from the area during the time of the missing.
Where Was Leah Croucher Last Seen?
Miss Croucher was last seen near Buzzacott Lane, Furzton, heading toward Loxbeare Drive via Chaffron Way when she was less than a mile (0.8 km) from the site.
Police have been scouring this property for four days now. Several of the police officials entering the home today, as they did yesterday, are dressed in forensic suits. Last night hammering could be heard from the four-bedroom single-family home, and a police canopy and screen are still present in the front garden. Community people have started to leave flowers, candles, and soft toys near crime scene tape defining the cordon, despite police warning that it will take some time to officially recognize the remains they have discovered.
