The new Netflix series Devil in Ohio will premiere this year. This is a series based on the well-known novel Devil in Ohio. We already know that this book has taken a lot of work. It will be interesting to watch how Netflix chooses to adopt this one as a series amidst all of this.

What is the Devil’s Plot in Ohio?
The intended limited series is based on Polatin’s book of the same name. The story is based on the experiences of a real-life teenage girl. The young woman relocated to the residence of a psychiatrist’s family after fleeing a Satanic group. In an interview with Book Room Revies, Polatin said she was inspired to write about people after spending time in rural locations. She then learned the story of a little girl who escaped a wicked group. She was the inspiration for her novel.
“I had to tell it when I heard the actual story of a little girl who escaped from a satanic cult and moved in with her psychiatrist’s family,” Polatin said in the interview. The novel’s characters, Mae, Jules, and the Mathis family, were inspired by actual occurrences, which seemed like a fascinating approach to telling the narrative. “The novel Devil in Ohio deals with the eternal battle between good and evil and the courage necessary to overcome earlier hardship.”
The Devil in Ohio plot description is as follows, according to Polatin’s official website:
“When Jules Mathis, 15, returns home from school, she finds a strange female sitting in her kitchen.” Jules’ psychiatrist mother reveals that Mae is one of her hospital patients and will be staying with them for a few days. Mae soon finds herself sleeping in Jules’ room, assuming Jules’ position in the school newspaper and flirting with her crush. Mae has no intentions of leaving either.
Then things start to make sense. When Jules enters the room, Mae is only half-dressed. Jules is taken aback when she notices a pentagram cut into Mae’s back. Jules deduces from the different indicators that Mae is a survivor of the bizarre cult with its roots in a nearby village. To regain Mae, the cult will go to any limit.
What is the Official Cast
Dr. Suzanne Mathis, portrayed by Emily Deschanel, leads the cast. The actress is most known for her prominent role as a forensic anthropologist on Fox’s Bones, where she performed for an unprecedented 12 seasons.
Sam Jaeger will play Peter, Xaria Dotson will play Jules, Madeleine Arthur will play Mae, Alisha Newton will play Helen, and Naomi Tan will play Detective Lopez.
