On Thursday evening, the trailer for Modern Love: Mumbai, the Indian translation of the successful US anthology series, was revealed. The teaser was unveiled in Mumbai at Prime Video Presents, an event hosted by streaming provider Amazon Prime Video. The series is the first of three Indian adaptations of the internationally acclaimed series. Six filmmakers—Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava, and Nupur Asthana—have collaborated on the Mumbai episode of the series. On May 13, 2022, the series will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
The trailer begins with a narration highlighting Mumbai’s vibrancy and love, mixed with sights of the city. A author who really doesn’t feel backed by her partner, a married couple rediscovering their relationship, a woman from the North East who disapproves of her son’s’vegetarian witch’ of a girlfriend, a middle-aged woman captivated to a younger woman, and also a gay man trying to hide his sexuality from his conservative parents are among the six love stories we see.
“Bringing you stories of (love emoji) from the city of dreams,” the caption said beside the trailer on Prime Video India’s official social media sites.
Modern Love: Mumbai Cast
The first-look poster for Modern Love Mumbai was released on April 25. The web series is starring Pratik Gandhi, Ranveer Brar, Sarika, Masaba Gupta, Arshad Warsi, and Chitrangada Singh, and many others.
About The Series
Modern Love: Mumbai, produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, will include six heartfelt stories about exploring and embracing love in all of its dimensions and emotions. This season, the Mumbai chapter of the international franchise will bring home love with soul-stirring and uplifting stories anchored in the heart of the city of Mumbai, inspired by the famous New York Times column.
