Kazushi Hagiwara’s Bastard!! Manga is getting a new fantasy action anime and is set to premiere on Netflix this year, Warner Bros Japan. announced on Thursday this week. According to The Anime News Network, the new anime will debut this year – worldwide, adding a valuable addition to the genre. The cast for Kazushi Hagiwara’s new anime for his manga ‘Bastards!!’, go as follows:
- Kishō Taniyama as Dark Schneider
- Tomori Kusunoki as Tia Noto Yoko
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Gara
- Yōko Hikasa as Arshes Nei
Takaharu Ozaki, well-known for his work in ‘Goblin Slayer’, is directing the new anime at Linden Films when it comes to the anime production team. Yousuke Kuroda, who has worked on productions such as My Hero Academia, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 will manage series compositions for this anime production. As for character design, Sayaka Ono will be in charge of this aspect of the production. Ono has also worked in productions such as CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon. In charge of music, the composition is Yasuharu Takanashi, who has worked in other anime productions such as Naruto Shippūden and Fairy Tail.
The new anime will be allotted a special time on YouTube on February 10, at the time of 8:00 pm Japanese standard time (JST). Both the cast and director will be present for this special production.
Bastards!! was first launched by Hagiwara‘ in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump during the year 1988. Since then, it has been irregularly published in this production as well as other magazines such as Ultra Jump, starting in the year 2001.
The company Shuiza published the 27th compiled manga volume in the year 2012. Viz Media released most of the manga series in English but stopped its publishing on the 19th volume. The fantasy action anime was so popular and enjoyed that it inspired a full six-episode original video anime production in 1992-1993, released by Geneon Entertainment on home video.
