Caught On Video: Suspects Attempt to Carjack Amazon Truck, Get Blocked By A Man In SUV

The Houston police recently released a video showing several men wearing pink outfits, attempting to carjack an Amazon Deliver Truck when they were stopped by a witness who was parked behind them.

The Amazon driver got out of the delivery truck to hand out a package in a northeast Houston neighborhood when suspects ambushed the truck and tried to leave, HPD’s Robbery Division said. The incident happened on June 9, but the video was just released Wednesday.

According to the terrified Amazon driver, one of the suspects said that he has a gun in his pocket. The driver also told deputies that the suspects made him leave the truck, KHOU.com reported.

The suspects then got into the van and were about to fee when a neighbor who witnessed the ongoing robbery blocked them with his SUV.

The suspect driving the truck shoved into the SUV, but the witness did not move. The other suspect seated in the passenger seat jumped out of the truck and walked around to the driver’s side. He then told his partner they must get out of the truck and of the scene.

The suspects fled on foot leaving the delivery truck and all packages inside behind.

The witness who stopped the attempted robbery was identified as Abraham Martinez. “I was watching everything and they were going to steal it,” he said. “I didn’t want them to steal it. It angered me so much.”

“I don’t like these people who come and do this. That’s why,” Martinez added.

The package in the Amazon truck was being delivered to a man identified as Moses. His camera also captured videos of the men attempting to rob the truck.

“I guess they had been casing this Amazon driver maybe blocks,” Moses said. “It’s a shame these guys come out here to make a quick lick and have to hurt an innocent guy like the Amazon driver just doing his job.”

No one was hurt in the incident.
