22-Year-Old Man In Fort Worth Shot To Death; Suspect On The Run

A man was found dead from gunshot wounds on Saturday night near a convenience store in southwest Fort Worth, authorities said.

Officers of the Fort Worth Police Department responded to a shooting call at around 10.30 p.m. at the 6200 block of Hulen Bend Boulevard.

Victim Succumbed To Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Upon arrival at the scene, police officers discovered a male victim identified as Rai Quan Lamar Williams, 22, a resident of Fort Worth, who died from multiple gunshot wounds. Lamar was brought to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead, Fox 4 News reported.

Suspect Is On The Run

The Fort Worth police are still on the lookout for the person responsible for the deadly shooting. According to the police, homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident and are looking for surveillance videos that could help with the case.

As of now, no arrests have been made.

Separately, three people were shot in the wee hours of Sunday in the area of West Seventh Street in Fort Worth, according to police. The condition of those shot is unknown, and police said they do not have any suspects in custody.

Police said officers in the area were notified around 2.10 a.m. that three people were shot near the intersection of Norwood and Bledsoe streets. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found three people shot.

According to a police news release, officers “located several victims” near Norwood and Bledsoe streets, one block east of University Boulevard, WFAA reported. Police confirmed that there were three victims in the shooting. They were taken to the hospital. However, their conditions were not known. One witness said a victim was shot in the leg and was released from the hospital.

As of Sunday morning, no one was arrested in the shooting.
